Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.

When I decided to begin my current weight loss journey 13 months ago, I risked failing AGAIN. I risked disappointing myself. I risked quitting and continuing on a path I didn’t want to be on. I risked going into something I had no knowledge about.

Despite all that, I just started. I just began. The first 6 months were so rocky, I was learning through trial and error as well as learning as much as I could. Since then I’ve gotten more into a rhythm, and slowly but surely, progress has been made! It hasn’t gone how I imagined, but the important thing is that I just took a step and started.

My journey will continue to be imperfect, but what matters to me most is that it’s working for me, and every week it gets better. I fine tune my plan and my routine and habits to make this difficult journey the easiest it can be. I’ve now lost 32 pounds naturally, and it stays off, and I will lose over 100 more.

I have a good idea of how the rest of my journey will look, but I don’t know exactly how it will go. I have learned so, so much, and I know I have even more to learn and experience. All I know is that I am grateful to my past self 13 months ago, for taking a leap into new territories. As scary and uncertain as it was – and how incredibly unconfident I was – I don’t regret it. My life is all the better because of it, and continues to improve.
