This was one of my best weeks on my weight loss journey so far. I am feeling so good. It definitely wasn’t a perfect week – that is impossible – but I am so proud of the progress I have made.

This week, I logged everything I ate, every day, something I’ve been doing for over a year. I stayed at my calorie limit every day. But it’s not just about limiting calories. I’m learning that what I do with those calories are very important. I am striving for nutrient dense, filling foods. I am mostly looking for foods that make me feel good.

I believe the only food we shouldn’t eat are the foods we are allergic too. I am cutting back on foods I know make me feel less good, ones I know I have a sensitivity to.

This week I hit a huge milestone…. I jogged for the first time in over 2 years. I’m starting out nice and easy. I went on a 20 minute walk. I would walk for 4 minutes, and then would do a nice gentle jog for 1 minute, and would continue this until I got to 20 minutes. It was a good challenge, it wasn’t easy but it wasn’t something I wasn’t ready for.

I am feeling good about this week. I am very close to losing my next pound, and I’m very excited! Even though the change seems to be slow, it’s happening, and that’s the most important part.
